Joyful Hands on Learning!
This November we focused on animal care with visits to farms, shelters, and sanctuaries. December brought opportunities to play with the theme “Let The Light In” by making gemstone mosaics, New Year’s masks, winter body scrubs, garlic honey, and enjoying visits from locally renowned storytellers. February Camp was a celebration of the stunning Lunar New Year with dumpling making classes, tours of history in Oakland and San Francisco, and farm to table cooking buckwheat valentine pancakes and wild winter foraged green pesto.
We believe youth can do hard things, make beauty, and be guided by equal parts independence and mentorship. What’s up next… Summer Sessions Out and About!
